The final installment of the “Land Fit for Heroes” trilogy, “The Dark Defiles” hit shelves on Oct. 7.
Richard K. Morgan
★★★★
Del Rey, 2014.
The “Land Fit for Heroes” trilogy comes to a thrilling conclusion with The Dark Defiles. The anti-heroes of the dark fantasy series face their destinies, their pasts and the machinations of Gods, Demons and aliens.
Suffice to say that Morgan effectively ties all the loose ends together with pretty much non-stop action — a change from the previous, slower-paced books. There’s still plenty of sex, drugs, blood and F-bombs though.
