With Fan Fest put to bed, tickets for Phoenix Comicon are now on sale. The annual pop culture celebration takes place May 28-31 at the Phoenix Convention Center. Last year’s event drew over 77,000 people to see the likes of Nathan Fillion. Or, if you are a regular reader of this blog, Patrick Rothfuss and Jim Butcher. This year’s event promises more of the same, with expanded programming space.
Guest announcements are still trickling in, but British author and comic writer Paul Cornell (London Falling, Saucer Country) and comics legend Marv Wolfman (New Teen Titans, Crisis on Infinite Earths) are the first confirmed guests. Expect plenty more in the coming months.
Tickets are on sale now, $50 for the full weekend. Hurry, because prices go up on Jan. 7 and right now it’s almost as cheap to buy a weekend pass as it will be to buy a single-day pass at the gates. Also hurry and make your hotel reservations, one hotel has already filled up. Visit the website for more information.
And check back here regularly for more author announcements (and any comic/pop culture guests that especially catch my eye!).
