Campbell Memorial and Sturgeon Nominees announced

Nominees for the 2014 John W. Campbell Memorial Award and the Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award were announced Monday. Named after the legendary editor of Analog magazine, the Campbell Memorial Award is a juried award for best science fiction novel. Not to be confused with the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer, which is presented as part of the Hugo Awards, the Campbell Memorial Award is presented by the Campbell Conference at the University of Kansas, along with the Sturgeon Award, which honors the best short fiction of the year.

The award will be presented at the Campbell Conference Banquet in Lawrence, KS on June 12. Congratulations to the nominees!
